Linda Joyce Womble, 71, of Melber, Kentucky passed away at 9:47 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah. She was a retired Registered Nurse and formerly worked at Lourdes Hospital for 21 years. Linda was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Lowes, Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Ishmael Womble; daughters, Rhonda O’Neill and husband Allen of Hickory, Kentucky and Lana Stewart and husband Darren of Mayfield, Kentucky; sons, Brian Womble and wife Teresa of Mayfield, Kentucky, Keith Womble and fiancée Kara of Melber, Kentucky and Terry Womble and wife Angela of Hickory, Kentucky; sister, Hazel Jetton and husband Roy Elgin of Greencastle, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, Makayla Skinner and husband Christopher, Michael O’Neill and Amber, Melissa Driscoll and husband Andrew, Megan Ervin and husband Kevin, Mitchell O’Neill, Macy O’Neill, Leah Greer and husband Howie, Lauren Tindal and husband Jay, Landon Womble, Drew Stewart, Derek Stewart, Annaliese Riley, Taylar Womble, Ty Womble and Tinsley Womble; 2 great grandchildren, Hazel Greer, Emma Driscoll and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Nadyne Hutchinson. Her parents were Willie W. Hutchinson and Fannie Ruby Sanderson Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Ivey and Dr. Shelton L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
