Leon Walter Jones, age 76, of Paducah passed away on Sunday June 9, 2019, 1:30 a.m. at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Leon attended Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed at Tennessee Valley Authority as a boiler maker, where he was a foreman. He retired in 2005 with 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jim Jones and Beatrice Howard Jones; one sister, Minnie Bea Dance; one brother, P.L. Howard and one nephew Reginald White.

His loving wife of 17 years, Rhonda Ann Jones, Paducah, KY; One Step-Son, Timothy Montez Meadows of Franklin, WI and One- Step- Grandson, Dylan Meadows of Naperville, IL; One Daughter, Betty Hill of Paducah, KY; One Grandson; Navin Lassiter, One Granddaughter; Jasmine Hill both of Paducah; Five Great- Grandchildren; Two Sisters, Maggie Armstrong and Jimmy Lee Campbell both of Battle Creek, MI; Two Sisters-In-Law, Lawanda S. Meadows of Berkeley, IL and Carolyn V. Kindle of Metropolis, IL; Three Brothers-In-Law, Kenneth Meadows of Jacksonville, FL, Ronald Meadows of Paducah, KY and Jackie (Brenda) Meadows of Metropolis, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2019, 12 noon at the Washington Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, IL
Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
