Leon DeJarnatt, 89, of Cunningham, died at Countryside Center Monday October 20, 2014 at 11:43 p.m. He was a member of Zoar Baptist Church, a United States Army WWII veteran, and worked at Florshiem Shoe and International Shoe for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Hall DeJarnatt of Cunningham; his daughter, Sandra Hall of Farmington, KY; his three sons, Larry DeJarnatt of Cunningham, Danny DeJarnatt of Cunningham, and Randy DeJarnatt of Kirbyton; three sisters, Velma Arington of Lovelaceville, Maude Sims of Cunningham, and Jo June Woodford of Blandville; a brother, Glenford DeJarnatt of Cunningham; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Early Cleveland “Dick” and Iva Hall DeJarnatt; a brother & sister.
Services will be at Zoar Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on October 24 with Revs. Darryl Titus and Parvin Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem cemetery in Cunningham, KY. Visitation will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell Thursday, October 23 after 5:00 p.m. and at Zoar Baptist Church Friday at 11:00 a.m.
