Larry Gross, age 70 of Paducah, KY passed away at 5:15 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at Southgate Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis, IL. Larry was a member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was a graduate of Lone Oak High School. Larry was retired from James Sanders Nursery working in the Landscaping area.Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Viet Nam War and received two purple hearts for his service to his country.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Terri Jean Wunsch Gross; three sons, Eric (Lindsey) Gross, Paducah, KY, Jamie Gross of Paducah, KY and Michael (Kelly) Gross, Guatemala; two brothers, Greg (Marilyn) Gross and Bob (Rita) Gross both of Paducah, KY; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Kortney, Madison, Matthew, Joshua, Ella Claire, Avery Gross and Lucy Gross to be born Feb. 16, 2018; several neices and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents, George Frank Gross & Alberta “Mary Lou” Lockwood Gross.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
