Jonna Creason, 53, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the University of California Irvine Medical Center.

Jonna had a deep love for her Lord and truly lived a godly life. She was married to her husband Curtis for 30 years. She was selfless, faithful and encouraging, always putting others first. She was a great friend and godly example, who touched the lives and hearts of so many people.  She was a devoted and faithful wife and mother, a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a unique and special lady who will be greatly missed.

 

Jonna spent 12 years homeschooling her children and later became a teacher at Mayfield Creek Christian Academy for an additional 10 years. She shared a deep love and burden for her students. She was described as being “The most patient and understanding, with a unique passion for helping students learn, a champion for struggling students.”

 

Jonna is survived by her husband, Curtis Creason; her daughters, Chelsea Creason, Kaitlyn Creason, and Emma Creason, all of Bardwell; her son, Samuel Creason; her parents, Samuel and Joyce Denham Rogers; her step-mother, Glenda Rogers; her sisters, Jaianne Seay of LaCenter, Kentucky, Julie Davenport and husband, Greg of Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Jonna was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Irene Denham, Chancey and Sara Lou Rogers.

 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Mayfield Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Norris officiating. Burial will follow at New Concord Cemetery in Melber, KY.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the church and also from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 service time on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bearing Precious Seed, 1369 Woodville Pike, Milford, OH 45150.
