Johnny B. Bishop, 81, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital at 9:15 a.m.
He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, worked for the Kentucky State Highway Department, was a United States Army WW II veteran, worked for the former Simmons Land & Cattle Company, and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Todd Bishop; his daughters, Renee Andrews of Fancy Farm and Teliese Moore of Paducah; his sisters, Betty Taylor of Paducah and Judi Gamblin of Paducah; a brother, Rayford Bishop of Littleton, CO; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Holt and Mae Violet Blassingame Bishop; his sons, Roger Dale Bishop and Raymond Thomas Bishop; one brother.
Services will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell Thursday, December 11, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Riley officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Roselawn cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, December 10, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
