Bonnie Dora Turnbow, 85, of Bardwell, KY, passed away at 6:39 pm on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
She was a member of Bardwell Church of Christ. She was valedictorian of the 1948 graduating class at Bardwell High School. She worked as a secretary & book keeper for Lowell King Insurance, and for Hayden Farm Supply. She also worked as a postal clerk, was manager at the Ben Franklin Store, and prepared income taxes from her home. She was secretary for the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Carlisle County Homemakers.
She was survived by one daughter, Brenda Wade of Fulton, KY; three sons, Russell Turnbow and wife Rhonda of Cunningham, KY, Bruce Turnbow and wife Renee of Benton, KY, Scott Turnbow and wife Amber of Paducah, KY; eight grandchildren, Amy Kellermeyer, Sara Moore, Wade Courtney, Rachel Bowels, Rebecca Crittendon, Jennifer Hafley, Sierra Turnbow, Gage Turnbow; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Turnbow; and her parents, Franklin Clarence Porter and Rosie Bell Williams Porter.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Bardwell with Bro. Michael Trivett and Bro. Terry Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bardwell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremations Services of Bardwell.
