Adalynn Grace Rogers, 2, of Milburn, KY, went to be with the angels on January 26, 2018 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
She was born on January 11, 2016 to her loving parents, Justin Rogers and Kristina Rogers of Milburn, KY.
Adalynn was the happiest little girl in the world. She went through more in her short 2 years than most do in a lifetime, smiling the whole time. She loved playing with her brothers and cheering them on at their baseball games. Spending time with family and being outside riding the ranger and looking for the moon at night were some of her favorites. She loved watching movies and Mickey Mouse! She was loved by everyone she met and will be extremely missed. “Some of the most heroic, are the ones who, without needing words, teach the world, what it is to love and fight”, That’s what Addy was... a HERO! Her smile and big eyes changed the world for the better and we know she’s giving everyone high fives and having the biggest Trolls dance party in heaven right now!
She is survived by her parents, Justin Rogers and Kristina Rogers; three brothers, Camden Rogers, Greyson Rogers and Kolton Rogers; grandparents, Duane Rogers and Tammy Rogers of Milburn, KY; grandfather Dale Bearden of Calvert City, KY; grandmother Kelly Prescott and husband Jason of Murray, KY; great-grandfather, Rickie Bearden and wife Donna of Calvert City, KY; great-grandmother, Paulette Bearden of Calvert City, KY; four aunts, Brittaney Bearden, Ashlee McMillan, Kayla Larrison and husband Jacob, Carrie Coons and husband Corey; two uncles, Dane Rogers and Jeremi Bearden and wife Kayla; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Wilmer and Anna Rose Rogers and James and Novella Everly; one great-great-grandmother, Lucille Ward.
Funeral services for Addy will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, KY with Rev. Darrell Venters officiating. Burial will follow at St. Jerome Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
Friends and family attending the services are encouraged to wear their #AddyStrong tee shirts or bright colors instead of the traditional black.
