.Mr. Willis J. Deitz, 82, of Kirksey, KY passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Mr. Deitz was born on May 14, 1935 in Sligo, Pennsylvania to the late Willis Deitz and Marie Hummel Deitz. Willis graduated from Bradford Area High school in 1954. He attended University of Pittsburg at Bradford Campus. He was a tool and die maker and worked for Speer Resistor Motorola, Fisher Price and retired from Mattel in 1997. He attended the Murray and Paducah Seventh Day Adventist Churches.

Surviving Mr. Deitz is his wife of 55 years, Ella Deitz; three sons, John Deitz (Rose) of Discovery Bay, CA, Willis Deitz (Cathy) of Madisonville, KY, Bobby Deitz (Pam) of Kirksey, KY; three daughters, Lori Mitchum (Brian) of South Fulton, TN, Kristina Jackson (Lee) of Hazel, KY, Deborah Welsh (Kerry) of Kevil, KY; a brother, David Deitz (Beth) of Allegany, NY; a sister, Bernice Keister of Chili, NY; 14 grandchildren, Jenny Long, Aimee Dial, Joshua Deitz, Willie Deitz, Jessica Free, David Deitz, Rebekah Willis, Brittnee Deitz, Logan Jackson, Lindsey Welsh, Lorynn Deitz, Cody Jackson, John Welsh, Nathan Deitz and nine great grandchildren, Madison Byassee, Tyler Long, Hayden Free, Paisley Long, Keegan Free, Eden Deitz, Christian Free, Carter Willis and Isaiah Willis.

The funeral service is set for 10 AM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray, with Dennis Attrogge officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Heritage Chapel.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
