Louis “Dude” Wetherington, 79, of Hamletsburg, Il. died Sunday, January 17th, 2016 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Louis worked for the Ford Motor Co. for several years before becoming a self-employed construction worker and was involved with farming.
Louis had a love and a passion for motorcycling that never left him his entire life. He was an original member of the “Just Us” Motorcycle Club of Kankakee, IL.
He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Kirk) Kepner of Hamletsburg, Il. and Lisa (Fred) Pender of Hamletsburg, IL.; two brothers, Roy Wetherington of Hamletsburg, Il., and Bob (Judy) Wetherington of Brookport, Il.; one sister, Helen Bradley of Fairfield,Il.; five grandchildren, Jovanna Wetherington of Paducah, Louis Runner of Metropolis, IL, Cody Runner of Kankakee, Il., Jade and Wyatt Pender of Hamletsburg, Il.; and several nieces and nephews.
Louis was preceded by his parents, Hollis and Thelma Crosier Wetherington; one daughter, Desiree’ Wetherington; two brothers, Raymond and Richard Wetherington; and two sisters, Mary Imogene Wetherington, and Rosalie Wetherington.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah from 3pm until 6pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 21st, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home at 11am with Rev. Larry Lunsford officiating.
