Kathleen Rollins, 100, of Paducah, formerly of Wickliffe, passed away at Baptist Health Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 8:45 a.m. 

 

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wickliffe since 1936, a member and officer of Woman’s Missionary Union, served for years as teacher and director in Junior Sunday School department, and served as Church librarian and historian.  She was also a correspondent for Advance-Yoeman and Sun Democrat.  She was a charter member and the first president of Ballard-Carlisle Historical & Genealogical Society and she was instrumental in organizing this group.  She was clerk of Wickliffe cemetery since 1980 and Ballard County Deputy Circuit Court clerk.  She retired from the Department of Social Services after serving for over 15 years.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ann Hunt of Paducah, Mattie Elizabeth White of Enid, OK, and Linda K Rollins of Paducah; her son, Laddie “Buddie” Rollins of Saute Nacoocha, GA.; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie S. Rollins, her parents, Harry and Mattie Jones Ellis; one sister, Iris Dewessee.

 

Services will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe Wednesday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dee Hazlewood officiating.  Burial will follow in Wickliffe City cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, December 10 from 10:00 a.m. till service time.
