Josiah Bennet Wood, 2, of LaCenter, KY died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Jude Children’s Research Center in Memphis, TN after a long fight with retinoblastoma.
His parents, James Bennet Wood and Cheryl Wallace Wood, have been by his side as he fought for over a year. He is also survived by three siblings, Nichaligh Pearson, Trice Wood, and Averley Wood; grandparents, Alvin and Joyce Wallace, and Robin Wood; great-grandparents, Mary Ann Peeler, Linda Wallace, Shirley Modrow, and Ray Duncan; aunts, Angel Simpson and husband Anthony, and Carrie Wallace; uncles, Holden Wood and Jason Wallace; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Charles Peeler.
Funeral services for Josiah will be held at 2pm Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Billy Dale Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11am Monday at the funeral home.
