Donald Edward McCracken, age 71 of Bardwell, made his journey to Heaven from his home at 9:01 am on Sunday, March 1, 2015.
He was a family man, a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to anyone who knew him. He attended Bardwell Baptist Church. Don was an honorary member of the Bardwell VFW and was a proud member of the Rizpah Shriners and the Masonic Lodge of Bardwell. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed playing cards, golf, fishing and spending time with his family.
Mr. McCracken is survived by his daughters, Juanima Renee Blackmon of Paducah, Tammy Jo McCracken of Henderson, Kelly Dawn Franklin and husband Mark of Bardwell; son, Terry Lee Draper of Paducah; sister, Judith Faye Lemison of Orangevale, CA; brother, Jimmy McCracken of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Lauren Christian, Mason Jones, Kaiden Stimson, Paul Baranek, and Xandra Draper; great grandchildren, Rosalie Christian, Silas Christian, Emmarie Christian, and Coal Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Eunice E. McCracken, his sister, Diane Marin and his brother, Terry Dale Lee.
Services for Mr. McCracken will be held at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Rodney Bice will officiate with burial following at Roselawn cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, March 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Masonic rites at 7:00 p.m.
