Perry Marcus Anderson Jr., at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 2 days, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019. He was born of the late Brenda L. Pipes and Perry Marcus Anderson Sr. on October 23, 1974, in Paducah, Ky.
He graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in May of 1993 and joined the Marine Corps on June 1, 1993.
While in the Marine Corp, he served as a Flight Equipment Marine and a Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2), Good Conduct Medal (2), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Meritorious Mast Marksman Badge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda L. Pipes; Grandfather, James Pipes; and Grandmother, Lillie B. Anderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory 2 sons, Devin Anderson of Paducah and Jordan Anderson of Yuma, AZ; father and step mother, Perry Marcus Anderson Sr. and Sandra Anderson of Paducah; grandmother, Patricia Pipes of Paducah; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie J. Anderson Patterson and Milo Patterson of Paducah; brothers, Jaron Anderson, Jerome Hart, Joemichael Hart and Joey Hart of Paducah; several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson officiating. Burial will follow on Monday, March 11, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, IL.
