Jeremy “Roadie” Newberry, age 40 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 8 pm on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.

Jeremy was a very talented musician, had worked as an electronic salesman at Sears, and was best known as the host of WKYQ Outlaw Hours.

Jeremy is survived by his wife, Sarena Newberry of Metropolis; father, Jack Newberry and wife Juanita of Metropolis; mother, Kathy Steele and husband John of Metropolis; sisters, Amanda Steele of Metropolis and Misty York and husband Doug of Atlanta, GA; step sister, Kelly Finlay of Memphis, TN; nephew, John Keeghan Steele of Metropolis; maternal grandparents, Lowell and Velma Ashford of Metropolis.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob Newberry and Cleta Hines.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening April 18, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.

Memorials may be made in Jeremy’s memory to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Second Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540.
