James “Dickey” Timmons, 77, of Paducah died at 2:00 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Timmons was the owner of Timmons Excavating Company, former employee of SKW of Calvert City, veteran of the Army National Guard, and a member of Southland Baptist Temple.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Marketta Jones of Paducah; son, Larry Ray Timmons and wife Lisa of Metropolis, IL; two daughters, Kathy Sue Ford of Benton; Donna Kay Steele and husband Jimmy of Possum Trot; step daughter, LaCrecia Ann Felts of Paducah; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Vivian (Humphery) Timmons Brown; father, Henry Rome Timmons; wife, Martha Neil (Boggess) Timmons; step daughter, Cynthia Louis Felts; brother, John Timmons Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2014 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery in Possum Trot.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
