Harold “Chip” Olsen, age 76, of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, died at 5:10 am on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Clay Blankenbaker and Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Olsen was a retired plumber and attended First Baptist Church in Metropolis.
Chip is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda (Bunch) Olsen of Metropolis; three sons; several grandchildren; two brothers, Mark Olsen and wife Karen of Schaumburg, IL and Larry Olsen and wife Carol of Addison, IL; brother-in-law, Rickey Bunch and wife Karen of Metropolis; sisters-in-law, Deanna Kreuter and husband Sonny of Metropolis, and Trena Brewer of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold R. and Eleanor (Klement) Olsen.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2pm on Sunday, March 25th at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
