Gary E. Robinson 68, of Metropolis passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Joe Buchananan and Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial and Military graveside rites will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Robinson was a member of First Baptist Church of Metropolis, retired from the U.S. postal service after 35 years of service, a member of the American Legion, Amvets, and an Army Vietnam Veteran.
Mr. Robinson is survived by one sister, Rita Krueger and husband Gary of Metropolis; one niece, Lori Krueger of San Diego, CA; one nephew, Brian Krueger of Metropolis; one sister in law, Shirley Parr of Cypress, IL; several nieces and nephews from his wife’s family; and special friends, Bobby and Tina Farley and their son Connor of Metropolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ann (Sisk) Robinson; and his wife Sharon Ann (Crow) Robinson.
Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. Monday, July 11, 2016 at Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
