Debbie Lynn Stephens of Metropolis, IL passed away on December 18th, 2016 at her home.

Debbie was born at Fort Campbell, KY to Marvin P. Darnall and Shirley J. Norton on August 26, 1957. She graduated from Marshall County High School, in 1975, and went on to PCC and Murray State University to study nursing and received her Bachelor’s Degree. Debbie worked at Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital as a RN Clinical Operations Specialist and previously Western Baptist Hospital. Debbie was dedicated to her profession working for over 40 years as a R.N. giving to her community, patients, and family. Debbie loved gardening especially roses, and her pets, Debbie was a member of Paducah First Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service for Debbie Lynn Stephens of Metropolis, IL will be held at the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital, Paducah. Ky on Thursday, April 27th, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Memorial starting at 1:00 p.m. with Jerri Pullen officiating.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Marvin P Darnall, and her grandparents Elbert & Ella Mae Darnall, Clarence & Beatrice Pullen, and several uncles and aunts.

Debbie is survived by her son, Benjamin Stephens of Hampton, Connecticut, Mother, Shirley Norton, & Step Dad Bob Norton Symsonia, KY , Brothers, Gary Darnall ,(Mille), of Hardin, KY, Marvin L. Darnall (Angie), Clarksville, TN, Dennis Darnall (Amanda) Mayfield, Ky , Jeannie Lee (Mike) of Benton KY, Uncle, Jerri Pullen, Paducah, Ky, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be given to Lourdes Hospital Foundation-Mercy Health or The Humane Society of the United States.
