Mr. Chancily Stephen Jeffords, age 44, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah in Paducah, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Brinker and Rev. Trad York officiating. Burial will follow in Otterbien Cemetery in Pope County, IL.
Chancily was a carpenter and millwright belonging to Carpenter Local 640. He was also a member of the Bay City Masonic Lodge, and Sons of American Legion Post 306 and attended Waldo Baptist Church.
Chancily is survived by his parents, David and Anna (Thompson) Jeffords of Metropolis; wife, Mary Jeffords of Brookport; son, Robert Stephen “Stevie” Jeffords of Brookport; step daughter, Hannah Harris and husband Cody of Brookport; three step grandchildren, Camden, Harlen and Keller Harris all of Brookport; one sister, Lana Taylor of Metropolis; one niece, Joanna Taylor of Metropolis, grandmother, Alberta Thompson of Metropolis; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Eugene Thompson, and James Howard and Editha Mae (Medley) Jeffords.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 6:00 p.m.
