Robert "Rob" McWhinnie Jr., 61 of Auburn Illinois and Paducah Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his sister's home.
He was born October 10, 1964 in Springfield, Illinois the son of Robert and Theresa DeHeve
McWhinnie Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Surviving is one son Christoper (Elizabeth) Curry, two grandsons, Declan and Dawson, two sisters, Dolly Gresham and Rhonda (Rodney) Fraztke, one niece, four nephews, several great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and many friends.
Rob, also known as Robbo to friends and family, was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds, and Illini fan. He loved all sports including golfing with his friends and going to the racetrack. He was a member of the Silos Country Club in Paducah, KY. He was knowledgeable with his stats in all the sports and would argue with you until he was right!
Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn Illinois to help with funeral costs.
