Mr. Gerald Dan McNutt

Mr. Gerald Dan McNutt, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Mr. McNutt was born on April 13, 1939, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Nuel McNutt and Zella (Morris) McNutt. He was the former co-owner and operator of McNutt Insurance Agency along with his son, Greg. Mr. McNutt was a member of the Murray First Methodist Church and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Murray State University in 1961. He was a longtime Rotarian serving in various roles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Eva (McNutt) Willoughby.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie (Erwin) McNutt of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Gregory Dan McNutt of Murray, Kentucky and Bradley Edwin McNutt of Franklin, Tennessee; one brother, Ronnie Nuel McNutt and wife Debby of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Sarah (McNutt) Roberts of Murray, Kentucky, Kristin (McNutt) Bolen and husband Chase of Murray, Kentucky, and Kelsey Jordan McNutt of Franklin, Tennessee; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ethan Roberts and Anna Kate Roberts both of Murray, Kentucky.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Bro. Gary Vacca and Pastor Jeff Rudy will officiate, and a eulogy will be provided by his brother, Ronnie McNutt. Burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
