Mr. Gerald West, age 85, of Hazel, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton, Kentucky.
Mr. West was born on September 20, 1940, in Graves County, Kentucky, to the late Harold West and Margaret Rhodes James. Gerald was a retired truck driver, a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in by a son, Ronald Boyd West; brother, Randy West.
Survivors include his wife, Pat West of Hazel, Kentucky, they married December 28, 1988, in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Michele West of Mayfield, Kentucky and Pam Deitz of Benton, Kentucky; four sons, David West of Mayfield, Kentucky, Christopher West of Sedalia, Kentucky, Jason West and wife Charlotte of Mayfield, Kentucky and Bruce Moore of Coloma, Michigan; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Per Gerald’s request there will be no public services.
