Fred Louis McCovens

Fred Louis McCovens, age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah. He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the son of Mose Lee and Alma McCovens.
 
Fred was a member of The Lord’s Sanctuary of Apostolic Faith and worked as a laborer at Fat Moe’s Restaurant in Paducah.
 
Fred was a friendly, kind-hearted, easy-going person who never allowed anything or anyone to stop him. He was always on the move. He considered himself as a ladies’ man and would often be quoted that he “had a good life, a good run; he just ran the wrong way.” He loved all types of music and played both the piano and saxophone. He dearly loved his family, especially his brother and sister-in-law and his nephews.
 
Fred was preceded in death by his parents Mose Lee and Elma McCovens Lee, and one brother, Joseph Mack Lee.
 
Fred leaves to cherish many precious memories Two Sons, Daran Nicholson of Connorsville, Indiana, Eric Nicholson and One Daughter, Janell Nicholson, both of Evansville, Indiana; Four Grandchildren, Five Nephews; One Niece, and One Sister-in Law.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, 5:00 p.m. at 620 South 9th Street Paducah, KY  42003.
