Campbell, James

James “Jim” Campbell, Jr., 90, of Murray, passed away January 13, 2021, at Green Acres Health Care in Mayfield. Jim was born in East Orange, New Jersey on November 13, 1930 to James Campbell Sr. and Helen Miller Campbell. He served proudly in the United States military, then worked in management positions in various retail stores. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to opera music. Those who knew Jim will always remember his sense of humor and his ability to never meet a stranger. Jim had a huge heart and an amazing capability to sympathize with others, from every different walk of life. He always said, if he could be king for a day, he would erase inequality, especially within his own community. Jim is survived by his dear friends, The Bedeau Family. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Campbell; one brother; and one sister. Services for Mr. Campbell will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. We appreciate your help in maintaining state mandated Covid restrictions.
