Rosalee Phelps Quertermous, 91 of Carmago, IL (formerly of Paducah) passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, at Newman Rehab and Healthcare Center in Newman, IL.  

She was born in Pope County, IL, on December 7, 1932, to Lee & Letha Morris Phelps. She dedicated 30 years of her life as a Bookkeeper/Treasurer to the Pope County School District.

Rosalee was a devoted servant of God and a member of the First Baptist Church Paducah, where she sang in the choir.  Rosalee enjoyed her years of service at FBC Paducah serving in the children's ministries and touched countless lives with her love of children. Previously, she served with the same unwavering commitment at First Baptist Church Golconda. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family and that was evident in the joy she found in cooking and baking sweets, creating heartwarming memories around the kitchen. Described as faith-filled and loving, Rosalee's legacy is one of generosity and kindness. Her radiant spirit and nurturing presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Lee (Steve) Vincent of Paducah and Colette Marie (Rick) Wallace of Carmargo, IL; six grandchildren, Angie (Billy) Meadows, Amy Tharp, Denise (Kent) Hinrichs, Mindy (Chris) Fowler, Erica (Ben) Mentock and Renea (Chris) King; Sixteen great-grandchildren, Kirsten Meadows, Brayden Meadows, Sydney Tharp, Austin Tharp, Katelynn Tharp, Kaylee Blackburn, Ethan Hinrichs, Mary Hinrichs, Ethan Blackburn, Addisyn Fowler, Chloe Fowler, Logan Fowler, Jaes Mentock, Elijah Mentock, Amelia King and Alexander King; one sister, Carmen Wells of Paducah and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Paul E. Quertermous; a brother, Ray Phelps and a sister, Dorothy Street.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service time in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak is in charge of arrangements.
