Norma Penn Evans, age 84, of Paducah, Kentucky, peacefully passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at home surrounded by family.
Norma was born on May 28, 1941, in McCracken County to Roscoe and Earsel Penn. She attended Draughon's Business College in 1959 and was a 1972 graduate of Murray State University. Norma was previously employed with the McCracken County Board of Education as a Speech Therapist along with instructing in Adult Basic Education classes and McCracken County Summer Headstart Program.
She was artistic and creative with decorating, sewing, drawing, and painting. Norma loved gardening and flowers and created numerous floral arrangements throughout the years for all occasions, family, and friends. Laughter, morning coffee, along with quiet evenings sitting around in the screened front porch at her home, created many peaceful memories for all.
Ms. Evans is survived by her four children, Patricia Adams of Paducah, David Reeves (Elizabeth) of Evansville, Indiana, Jill Reeves of Paducah and Priscilla Ridenour (Mike) of Stamping Ground, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Emily Sirk (Ben), Jackie Turner (Jordan), Andrew Adams, Sydney Puckett (Will), Eli Reeves (Alison) and Max Thompson; four great-grandchildren, June and Heidi Sirk, Avery and Emma Turner; one brother, Clifford Penn (Sherri) and nephew Shawn Penn (Amy) of Benton, KY. Several great nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Stone Penn and Earsel Reed Penn; one infant daughter, Nancy June Mohler.
There will be no visitation per her request. A celebration of Norma's life will be held at a later date.
