Michael N. Kreke

Michael N. Kreke, aged 72, passed away on March 5, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah. 

Michael was born on June 20, 1952, in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Ralph Henry Kreke and Martha Elizabeth Colvin Fields.  He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a member of the Maxon Christian Church.

An HVAC technician by trade, Michael’s skilled hands and technical ability brought comfort to many homes and businesses throughout his career. His leisure time often found him cruising the roads in his cherished Blue Chevrolet Trailblazer. A passionate fan of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, Michael’s loyalty and enthusiasm for the game were contagious.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents as well as his grandparents, Forrest Dorris Colvin and Ella V. Burnley Colvin. 

He is survived by one daughter, Christy Renee Kreke Jennings (Justin) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one brother, James Burnley Kreke of Paducah; two step-brothers, Gary Fields (Karen) of Birmingham, Alabama and Don Fields (Kathy) of Decatur, Alabama; one grandson, Daniel Jennings of Simpsonville, South Carolina.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 1:00 P.M. at the Milner and Orr Funeral and Cremation Services of Paducah with Rev. Keith Tilford officiating.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13 at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
