Michael Jones, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Mayfield, Kentucky on July 3, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Michael dedicated 42 years of his life as a laborer at Goodyear. A devout Christian, Michael grew up attending the Pottsville Church of Christ. Later, he became a steadfast member of the Milburn Church of Christ and had most recently attended Macedonia Church of Christ.
Michael was a man with a passion for the outdoors. He found tranquility and joy in boating, yard work and working outside. He was an avid UK basketball fan, but family was the cornerstone of Michael's life and he cherished all the time he was able to spend with them.
Michael is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherry Crider Jones; his daughter, Melissa Baldwin (Patrick) of Kevil; three sons, Zach Jones (Brittany) of Gilbertsville, Ryan Yancy (Ashley) of Wingo and Josh Yancy (Gina) of Missoula, Montana; two sisters, Belita Henley of Mayfield and Agnes Jones of Mayfield; two brothers, Carl Jones (Syndal) of Mayfield and Richard Jones (Pat) of Mayfield; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge and Novella Jones; one sister, Nancy Flood; and one brother, Garland Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Milner & Orr Bardwell with Richie Spann officiating. Burial will follow at Milburn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time of Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
