Lana Susan Masse, a beacon of gentle love and thoughtful kindness, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024, in her hometown of Paducah, Kentucky. Born on October 25, 1955, Lana's life was a testament to the joy and warmth she brought to everyone around her.
 
Lana's journey began in Paducah, where she was born to the late D.K. Riley and Naomi Louella Hale Riley. After graduating from Lone Oak High School in 1973, Lana dedicated herself to a career in healthcare, becoming a certified surgical technician, a role in which she provided care and comfort to countless individuals over the years.
 
For 35 years, Lana shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Robert Paul Masse. Together, they raised a family that was the center of her world. Lana was a devoted mother to her children. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones of their home.

Lana's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She was an avid reader, always with a book in hand, ready to explore new worlds and ideas. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly as she rode jet skis and enjoyed boating, embracing the thrill of the water. Lana also had a playful side, delighting in the world of video games, a hobby that brought her joy and laughter.
 
Lana is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Tyler Paul Masse of Princeton, KY, James Masse (Jennifer) of Charleston, S.C., and Sean Masse of Los Angeles CA; one daughter, Taylor Suzanne Masse of Greece; one sister, Mona Gish (Michael) of Owensboro, KY; one brother, Monty Riley of Marion, KY; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
She is preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Riley; and her parents.
 
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Prewitt officiating. Burial will follow at Whites Chapel Cemetery in Salem, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the service time on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
