Retired Army Veteran, SFC Justin Lynn Edwards, age 38, whom also carried the nicknames "Jet" & "Jet Lee", left his earthly body for one without sickness, pain, and hurt on July 9th, 2024.

Justin was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on June 17, 1986 to Jimmy & Carolyn Lee, formerly of Carlisle County. He's a 2007 graduate of Hickman County High School.

Although his first job was a milkshake maker, Justin carried other titles throughout the years such as: bus boy, farm hand, factory worker and veteran. The titles of brother and uncle were one that he did not take lightly. Justin loved his siblings, both biological and those "he gained along the way". His favorite title, by far, was dad.  Justin loved his children more than anything that ever existed.  He leaves behind a life rich in memories, experiences, and relationships. Big-hearted and zestful, Justin's love for animals, musicals, coffee, poetry, heavy metal, Star Wars, technology, and his knack for anything computers marked him as a genuine nerd.  Most knew him as quiet and shy, but if he hung around long enough, he opened up and you soon realized, he was the unintentional comedian amongst most gatherings, lightening hearts with his funny mispronunciations of words or misunderstanding of directions that turned situations awry.

Justin leaves behind an abundance of people whom he loved and who loved him in return.  A Daughter, Raelyn B. Edwards of Fulton County, Kentucky; a son, Layton J. Edwards of Fulton County, Kentucky; nieces, Abreanna Belcher of Carlisle County, Kentucky, Virginia D. Council and Chanta L. Taylor, both of South Fulton, Tennessee; nephews, Malachi A. Edwards, Joseph J. Edwards, and Dasean X. Edwards, all of South Fulton, Tennessee; sister, Leann Edwards of South Fulton; his grandmother, connected by heart, whom he lovingly called his Nanny, Sherry A. Smith of Hickman County, Kentucky; and his friend forever and ever, Britina R. Edwards of Fulton County, Kentucky; and his parents, Carolyn and Jimmy Lee.  Justin also leaves behind many other unnamed family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Tina Edwards and his "Ma", Tammy Jackson.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
