Doris "MeMaw” Harding, age 80, of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2026 at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.
Doris was born on November 12, 1945, to Oval Earl Dunn and Trudy Dean Turner Dunn. Doris was a member of the New Concord Baptist Church in Melber, Kentucky. MeMaw loved watching University of Kentucky Basketball and Wheel of Fortune. Her best times were cooking dinner for the family and enjoying sharing and hearing their stories.
Survivors include two daughters, Starla (Jay) Hayden of Boaz, Kentucky; Ronda McNeill of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Ronald “Bub” (Natalie) Harding of Boaz, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Bryan (Haleigh) Hayden, Chad (Chelsea Mellen) Hayden, Gunnar (Yael) McNeill), Erica Harding (Matt) Curtis and Garrett (Taylor Turner) Harding; seven great-grandchildren, Lily Hayden, Lyla Hayden, Jaylee (Jayden Owen) Hayden, Bryleigh Jo Hayden, John Bryar Hayden, Josey Hayden and Branch Hayden; one great-great grandchild, Wrenlee June Owen.
Preceding in death were her husband, Freddy Joe Harding; parents; one sister, Janice Lowery and two brothers, Randall Dunn and Donnie Dunn.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cruse officiating. Burial will follow at the New Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Melber, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
