Clifford Shreve

Clifford Shreve, 87, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 12:34 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on June 27, 1938, in Cisne, Illinois, to the late Olef R. Shreve and Ruby E. Bailey Shreve. Clifford was a Superintendent for the Reidland Water District and later retired from Paducah Water. He was an active and faithful member of the Reidland-Farley Fire Department from 1959 to 1998, where he served as Fire Chief from 1984 until his retirement in 1998. Clifford enjoyed fishing and working on 1,000-piece puzzles.
 
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice Faye Womble Shreve; daughter, Deborah Shreve of Villa Rica, Georgia; son, Donnie Shreve and wife, Tracy of Paducah, Kentucky; brother, Leroy Shreve of Shelbyville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Ashley Jones, Jeffrey Trevathan, Mackenzie Rogers, Levi Shreve, and Adam Shreve; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
Clifford was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Shreve; brother, Freddie Shreve; and his parents.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Kyle Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
 
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
