Candice D. Cole

Candice D. Cole, aged 39, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on May 28, 2024, following a life marked by compassion and dedication. Born on July 20, 1984, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Candice nurtured a warmth that easily spread to those around her.

Throughout her career as an administrative assistant with the Kentucky Education Association, Candice's commitment to community and love for others shone brightly. Her active involvement in initiatives like Stomp Out Cancer and Reading Across America underscored her passion for service, particularly in enriching the lives of children.

Those who knew Candice will fondly remember her genuine spirit and innate desire to help people. Her joy was found in the laughter of her loved ones, the tranquility of the outdoors, and the thrill of the hunt. Candice's love for her family was the cornerstone of her being, and it is this love that will forever be cherished in the hearts she leaves behind.
 
Candice is survived by her husband of six years, Ted Cole; her son, Hunter Cole; her father, Jack Sowell; one sister, Heather Helson (Chris) of Smiths Grove, Kentucky; her father-in-law, Mark Cole and mother-in-law, Dottie Beshears; sisters-in-law, Becki Cole and Emily Oliver (Landon); one nephew, Owen Helson; and her Yorkies, Charlie and Bella.
 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheryl Metzger Sowell. 
 
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Craig Carter and Rev. Jim Wring officiating.  
 
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the 4:00 pm service time on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Homes.
