Mary Catherine Jones

Mary Catherine Jones, 89, of Grand Rivers, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. She was born May 3, 1936. Mary was defined by her servant's heart for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Smithland, KY. She served as pianist at Friendship Baptist from the early age of 12, until 2021. She served many years as WMU director, GA & Acteens director, also, served as Ohio River Baptist Association WMU director. She also accompanied her husband, Adrian Jones, on several mission trips through the years. Mary played the piano through the years for many weddings and funerals in the community. Mary played for quartets in the community early in her career.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Adrian Jones of Grand Rivers, KY, three sons: Rick Jones, (wife Kim) of Paducah, KY, Rev. Rex Jones (wife Rene’ ) of Benton, KY, Shawn Jones (wife Paula) of Grand Rivers, KY. Grandchildren: Chez Jones, Luke Jones, Carissa Lanier, Quade Jones, Grant Jones, Keziah Gonzalez, Raquel Jackson, Cameron King. Great Grandchildren: Kaci Jones, Grey Jones, Evan Ferguson, Alivia Ferguson, Felix Jones, Kanela Gonzalez, Theo Jones: Two Brothers, William (Bill) Brasher of Grand Rivers, KY and C.C. Brasher, wife, June of Benton, KY: Sister,  Betty Sue Pauley, husband, Lacy of Soddy Daisy, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Nellie Brasher, two sisters, Frankie Brasher and Gail Chandler: and two brothers, Jim Brasher, and Rev. David Brasher.
 
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Grand Rivers.
 
Friends may visit the family from 1:00pm to service hour on Sunday at the church.
