Carolyn Duckett Clark, 73, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Carolyn was born on February 21, 1953, in Calvert City, Kentucky, to the late Richard Carl Duckett and Lucille Stokes Duckett. A dedicated and hardworking woman, her life was centered around her faith and family. Her Pentecostal faith provided her guidance throughout her life. With her strong passion for always serving others, she spent many years owning and operating her own restaurants in both Calvert City and Wingo while raising her children. Whether she was at home or at work, Carolyn took great pride in caring for others.
Carolyn had many hobbies and interests that she was passionate about. Her love for animals, especially dogs and cats, was obvious, always having at least one pet at all times. She loved the outdoors, whether she was spending time tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, going for a motorcycle ride on the back of the Harley with her life partner, Del, or fishing, camping, and enjoying nature. She was also an avid UK Basketball fan and enjoyed watching and supporting them any chance she could. More than anything else, Carolyn loved watching all of her grandchildren and spending time surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her partner of 25 years, Franklin “Del” Clark, Jr.; three daughters, Stacey Story (Andy) of Benton, Kentucky, Karisa Clark of Michigan, and Courtney Clark of Florida; two sons, Christopher Clark of Illinois, and Franklin Clark, III (Tana) of Wisconsin; one sister, Barbara Green (Wade) of Springville, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lawrence; two brothers, Charles Duckett and James Duckett; and her parents, Richard Carl Duckett and Lucille Stokes Duckett.
