Charlie West

Charles Leonard West, age 82, of Mayfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

Charlie was born in Marshall County on March 14, 1944 to the late Jesse Mason West and the late Robbie Lassiter West. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Charlie had a passion for fishing and could often be found standing on a bank, fishing pole in hand, singing a  song.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Reed West of Mayfield; two sons, Jim West (Debbie) of Calvert City and Kevin West; one daughter, Kristi Brown of Paducah; one brother, Beau West; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Eric West and Chuck West; one brother, Michael West; and two sisters, Shirley Darnell and Jerrice Ross.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Haymes Cemetery in Benton with Bro. Mike Littrell officiating.

There will not be a public visitation.
