Charles Lawrence Wallace

Charles Lawrence "Chuck" Wallace, 68, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, at Marshall County Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 25, 1958, in Evansville, Indiana, to Charles and Mattie Jean Wallace, Chuck had a passion for working with his hands from an early age. He grew up working on the family farm and loved working on anything with a motor.

Chuck began his career with Levee Lift as a heavy machine mechanic in 1978 in Evansville and later opened and established the Levee Lift branch in Paducah, Kentucky, in 1987. He devoted 30 years of service to his trade before ultimately retiring from MH Equipment in 2022.

Beyond his work, Chuck was deeply involved with his grandchildren, especially his oldest grandson, Luke Travis. Together, they spent many days making lasting memories working side-by-side in the garage. He also loved helping out those around him, often spending time mowing his neighbors' yards. Chuck found immense happiness in gardening, cooking for his family, and rebuilding his John Deere mowers.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mattie Jean Wallace; his sister, Betty Clary; and his brother, Ronnie Wallace.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Edna McDowell of Calvert City, KY; his loving daughters, Misti Anne (Derek Edwards) of Benton, KY, and Mindy Isaacs of Mayfield, KY; along with his cherished grandchildren and many dear friends.
