Brenda Sirls

Brenda Kay Frizzell Sirls, 78, of Benton passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.  

Brenda was born on Saturday, August 16, 1947 in Benton to the late Aletta (Scillion) Frizzell and the late Arlie Frizzell. She was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church and a previous member of Briensburg Baptist Church. Brenda was proud to share her faith with others through music, specifically by playing piano during Sunday services for over 40 years. She could rarely ever sit idle and would keep busy by fishing, walking or reading. Brenda loved to travel and always looked forward to her next beach vacation!

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Bobby Sirls of Benton; two sons, Jonathan Sirls (Crystal) of Nashville, TN and Robert Sirls (Tricia) of Nashville, TN; one brother, Bro. Joel Frizzell (Kathy) of Benton; four nieces, Heather Caraway, Holley Sharp, Tammy Haley, and Rhonda Oldham; two great nieces, Madison Frizzell and Kaylin Oldham; three great nephews, Noah Caraway, Nick Oldham, and Isaac Sharp, and one great-great nephew Kenny G. Oldham.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Arlie and Aletta Frizzell, and her brother, Gary Frizzell.      

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 with Bro. Charles Frazier and Bro. Wes Morehead officiating.  Burial will follow in Briensburg Cemetery.
