Marilyn Joyce Thomasson

Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Thomasson, 89, of Salem, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in DeMotte, IN.
Marilyn was a member of Lola Pentecostal Church and in her younger days worked as a realtor. She was a woman of strong faith who loved the Lord and cherished the simple joys of life. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, tending to her flowers, and the peace and beauty of country living. Above all, Marilyn treasured time spent with her family, especially family gatherings where memories were made and laughter was shared. She always reminded her loved ones that ‘she loved them a bushel, and a peck’. Her love for her family, her faith, and her kind and giving spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Bonny Ann Blevins of Schererville, IN; two sons, Barry Lynn (Annmarie) Thomasson of Steger, IL, and Romie Barker (Linda) Thomasson III of DeMotte, IN; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Romie Thomasson; daughter, Tronda Lynette Thomasson Wehling; parents, Shell and Eva Long Brady; two sisters; and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Salem Cemetery in Salem, KY, with Bro. Tim Fouts officiating.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services.
