By West Kentucky Star Staff
MURRAY, KY - TVA is considering improvements to its transmission system in the Paris, Tennessee and Murray, Kentucky areas.

TVA is proposing to build about 16 miles of transmission line to power a new Paris Board of Public Utilities substation in Eagle Creek, Tennessee. The line would begin at TVA’s Murray substation and end at the new Paris substation.

The line would be built on steel pole, single-circuit structures centered on the right of way. The project is expected to cost about $18 million.

TVA will hold an information day to discuss the proposed transmission project. The information day will be held June 21, from 3:00-7:00 pm in the Murray Room at the CFSB Center. TVA representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions.
