HICKMAN, KY - A Tennessee man convicted of murder last month has received the recommended sentence of 20 years in prison.

Sixty-year-old William "Terry" Jamison of Tiptonville was sentenced by Fulton County Circuit Judge Tim Langford on Friday, according to WCMT radio.

On August 17, a Fulton County jury found Jamison guilty of the murder of Mark Williams.

Jamison was arrested after a 2016 incident when police say he shot and killed Williams in a field off KY 94 in Hickman.

After the sentencing, attorneys Dennis Null and Charles Kelly were granted a motion hearing on September 19.
