An earthquake was recorded northwest of Dyersburg, Tennessee early Wednesday morning.

It happened just before 6:00 am, with a preliminary measurement of 3.6 magnitude. There were reports of people feeling the quake in western Kentucky, and some said they heard it as far north as Mayfield.

On Tuesday, a 2.5 quake was detected west of Ridgley. Normally, tremors must be greater than 2.5 to be perceptible to people.
