Last week Illinois State Police arrested a suspect in an April bomb threat to the State Capitol building in Springfield.
Police arrested 23-year-old Gabrielle Williams on Thursday after a weeks-long investigation into threats. via interviews and cell-phone data.
State police first learned of the threats on April 22, when the Illinois Department of Human Services alerted the police's Statewide Terrorism and Intelligence Center. Officials alerted police to a threat at a public aid office and the State Capitol.
Police triggered the State Agency Facility and Employee threat protocol.
Capitol Police confirmed the capitol building was clear, and the Springfield Police Department did the same for the other state building.
Williams is being held in the Sangamon County Jail awaiting trial.
