Officials say they suspect an apartment building fire that killed two people in Louisville may have been intentionally set.

According to The Courier-Journal, Maj. Henry Ott with the Louisville Fire Department Arson Unit said authorities are asking the public for help in their investigation into Thursday's fire at a three-story apartment building in the Old Louisville neighborhood.

Ott says no suspects have been identified. He also said investigators are trying to figure out why a fire escape had been locked. Ott said the fire may have started on a staircase outside the building.

Along with the two deaths, four other people were injured in the fire. Authorities say one or two people leaped from the second floor to escape, and a firefighter was briefly trapped in the blaze.
