Man Charged with Sending Sexual Messages to Minor

A Bowling Green man has been charged with trying to procure a minor online for sex.

According to Kentucky State Police, officers with the Electronic Crime Branch arrested 32-year-old Christopher “Brandon” Petty Monday evening on charges related to prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/ peace officer regarding sex offense.

Petty's arrest came after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that began after detectives discovered he was communicating with juveniles online. 

Detectives executed a search warrant Monday at Petty's home in Bowling Green, and seized computer equipment allegedly used to commit the crimes. 

Petty is charged with one count of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/ peace officer regarding sex offense. He was booked into the Warren County Detention Center.
