A northern Kentucky sheriff has been arrested on theft and burglary charges.

According to Kentucky State Police, Carroll County Sheriff Jamie Kinman was arrested Wednesday on two counts of burglary and two counts of theft of a controlled substance. WDRB-TV in Louisville reports that Kinman is accused of going into a Carrollton home on Feb. 14 in police uniform and stealing hydrocodone tablets.

Kinman has been accused of stealing pills before. He was found not guilty in December of official misconduct and tampering with evidence, after being charged with taking painkillers from his department's evidence area in 2013.

Kinman was reportedly admitted to a rehab facility on Feb. 26. Drug detectives say their investigation is ongoing.
