The unadjusted unemployment rate for the state was at 4.6 percent, compared to 4.7 percent nationally.
The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training says jobless rates rose in 33 counties during that span.
The agency says Woodford County had the state's October lowest jobless rate at 3 percent. It says Magoffin County had the state's highest unemployment rate at 14.1 percent.
In western Kentucky, the lowest unemployment rate for October was in Calloway County at 3.9 percent. Ballard County had the highest at 7.6 percent.
