Democrats could have few choices in Kentucky's 2015 primary for governor.

Attorney General Jack Conway is the only major candidate running for the Democratic nomination for governor with a little more than a month to go before the filing deadline. Geoff Young, a little-known former state employee from Lexington, has also filed.

Since 1975, Kentucky's Democratic primaries for governor have never had fewer than four candidates. Democrats defeated Republicans in all but one of those elections, and many credit the grueling primary process for perfecting the party's candidate.

Auditor Adam Edelen has said he will not run, but some are asking him to reconsider. And House Minority Floor Leader Rocky Adkins is also considering the race.

Conway has racked up several high profile endorsements and raised close to $1 million.
