If you shop at Kroger, you will see some changes in response to the coronavirus pandemic that store employees hope will keep customers safer as they shop.

Kroger Chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen says stores are adding plexiglass partitions at all check lanes, pharmacy counters and Starbucks registers. They are also adding decals to help with social distancing at check lanes and other counters.

McMullen says customers are ancourages to use pickup and delivery service. Pickup has been made free.

"Demand has increased significantly for this service, so please bear with us as we do our best to serve our community in a timely manner," McMullen said.

In addition to the changes for customers, store employees are receiving a $2 an hour raise from March 29 through April 18, and will also get a one-time bonus.
